In the past I have let all the bad news keep me from reaching my potential because it has absorbed my interest. I am giving up on the bad news for now because I realize how poisonous it has been in my life. I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way. I still care about the world but I need to get my own life in order first.

My addiction to knowledge feeds my addiction to the internet. There are unfortunately so many things in this world to be sad about. It might be history, current events, the state of the environment, corporate greed, war, hunger and so on. The one big realization that I've had is that I can't change the world until I change myself. Once I have done so, I am in a better position to make an impact on this planet.
